New split band coupler sizes available from Hancor offer quick and easy installation
Findlay, Ohio – February 17, 2005: Hancor is pleased to announce that its split band coupler line is now available in 36” and 48”, allowing Hancor to offer a complete range of lightweight polyethylene external snap and split band couplers from 4” to 48” in size. “Contractors and engineers who are looking for a more economical alternative in retention or perforated pipe project applications, will appreciate the expanded size range of these couplers,” explains Bill Altermatt, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hancor.
The thermoformed polyethylene process employed in their construction delivers increased stability in dimensional size and control. When installed, the couplers cover four full corrugations – two on each side of the joint.
The split band design provides added safety and ease of installation for the contractor. Three ergonomically placed anchor points – where zip ties pull the coupler together – offer efficient assembly.
These split band couplers provide an economical alternative for soil-tight connection to ensure AASHTO M294 compliance. Coupler connection options also include a positive locking connection to ensure maximum coupler seating and pull apart/out resistance.
“Hancor constantly strives to offer our customers not only products, but solutions,” adds Altermatt. “By offering additional coupler sizes to our product line, we are meeting the needs of our customers while providing effective, alternative solutions.”
