Findlay, Ohio – July 28, 2005: Hancor was recently presented with the 2005 Ducks Unlimited Competitive Edge Award in recognition of their environmental support.
“Ducks Unlimited offers this award to corporate partners for their contributions to the conservation of North America’s wetlands and wildlife,” says Don Young, Executive Vice President at Ducks Unlimited. “We would like to personally thank Hancor for their continued support.”
Hancor and Ducks Unlimited have shared a partnership for over three years, which has been a natural fit for both organizations.
“Hancor is honored to receive this award, we have always prided ourselves on offering effective environmental solutions,” says Bill Altermatt, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hancor. “We’re delighted to be a partner with DU, their environmental initiatives are unparalleled and Hancor is playing a part in that cause.”
Hancor offers two DU licensed products – EcoFirst® and the Water Control Structure – in addition to other pipe system products that are commonly used in habitat conservation projects.
Ducks Unlimited is the world's largest private, non-profit, waterfowl and wetland conservation organization. DU protects, enhances, restores and manages important wetlands and associated uplands. Wetlands improve the overall health of the environment by recharging and purifying groundwater, moderating floods, reducing soil erosion and providing wildlife habitat.
Hancor is a solutions provider. One of the nation’s largest suppliers of storm water management systems, Hancor manufactures a wide variety of plastic drainage products for the commercial, residential, construction and agricultural markets. Hancor was founded in 1887 in Findlay, Ohio and operates manufacturing facilities and service centers across the country
